Following the playing of 7 games in 3 days as part of the Chicago Pride Hockey Tournament, I marched in the pride parade with my team and a few other folks who just happened to be there. As usual, the parade didn’t start on time, which provided lots of opportunities for mingling and people watching.
The hockey contingent was large, boisterous, and received the loudest cheers due to the presence of the Stanley Cup, which was on a float just behind us. People were pretty pumped about it. Buff hockey players was one thing, but the Cup…..
As you can tell, I was impressed by the energy of the Black Hawk’s mascot and the many other marchers in the parade. There was also lots of eye candy, which made deciding which pics to include here that much more difficult.

It felt like we had walked for miles (indeed we had) and the green grass at the end was a welcome sight. We were hot, thirsty, and hungry. Luckily, the next stop was Headquarters Beercade for cool beverages and fantastic pizza.
