Who knew that there could be so much happening in a brewery parking lot without any arrests being made? The edgy/artsy crowd of SJ were out in full force to celebrate the third annual San Jose Days in the back of Gordon Biersch Brewery. The labors of those who dabble with brushes, pens, or spray cans onto canvas, wood, fabric or metal were on display, many of which could be taken home for a modest sum and may or may not have required access to a pickup for transport.
The plentitude of vendors tempted with objects that could make a real statement to your walls or your body. I resisted the temptation to purchase anything, partly because I was on a bike and didn't feel like schlepping anything bigger than a loaf a bread back to my place.
It would not have been much of a celebration without at least a little bit of music and, in addition to a DJ, Noah and the Arkiteks obliged those in attendance with great melodies that helped ease the pain of the surprisingly slow moving beer line. Being located at a brewery you'd think it would have been super quick to get your alc fix, but such was not the case. It did , however, give you a chance to take in the goings on while still being surprised by the question of "What do you want?" when you actually do make it to the front of the line. The beer and hard cider were worth the wait btw.
