Since I had already been to Paris several times before, I was past the typical tourist haunts and was in search of more of the urban scene. Belleville was a place that was recommended on line to have a multitude of street art. So much so that tours are offered. Unfortunately, these tours did not coincide with my visit. They only happen on Saturdays at 11 AM. A rather narrow window of opportunity. Consequently, I struck out on my own. How hard could it be to find street art? It turned out to be not as easy as I had anticipated. Randomly walking is not the best strategy unless one has a ton of time. I did find some that were memory card worthy, but I will definitely have to go back again because I sense that I only lightly scuffed the surface. Not all of the pics below are from this area, but the few additional ones fit well with the theme.

More idle meandering.
While I was in search of street art, I was also on the look out for new outdoor places to explore. There was a patch of green on the map in the Belleville area and it turned out to be one of the nicest park in Paris, Buttes-Chaumont. It turned out to be a place to relax, go for a run, and admire the city itself.
