In a way, the Institut du Monde Arabe is one of the most striking buildings in Paris. At least that’s my humble opinion. It remains much they way I remember it when I was here over a decade ago, but they currently have an outdoor Oriental Garden that is a nice oasis in which to relax. I unfortunately got there too late to take in all the exhibits, but the view of the Seine from the roof deck alone is worth the admission. No pics from it here so you’ll just have to go see for yourself.
Louis Vuitton makes a stylish handbag and not a bad looking building too. The Foundation Louis Vuitton is housed in a Frank Ghery (a fellow Canadian) structure that, while unmistakably his, has a look that clearly sets it apart from the rest of his oeuvre. It is quite a striking building that was originally two tone, but has been recently adorned with color. It was a nice relief on a rainy, overcast day.
And the insides housed some interesting eye candy too.
